Unlock Hearts has provided free and inspiring literacy programs and brand-new books to low-income, at-risk, children between ages 8 to 14 in communities across New York City.
WHO WE SERVE
Our fun, interactive literacy programs benefit children from many backgrounds, all of whom are at risk of growing up with low literacy skills:
- Children from low-income families
- Children in shelters
- Children in low-income housing
- Children of prison inmates
- Migrant children
